Poem For A Friend 8:6:5

I.
So blithesome was I on that eve,
To you my amity I’d give.
Wishing you would gladly receive.
Now, no I don’t want you to leave.
Been wearing my heart on my sleeve,
And sure that’s for you to perceive.

II.
There are times I wish I could fly,
And I’d go way up in the sky.
Thank you sweet and caring ally,
‘Cause with you I know I can try.
Knowing on you I can rely
This part of me which makes me cry.

III.
In the stormy and lonely night,
Dear, staying up with all my might.
Ringing you up to make a fight.
But would you reckon who was right?
Light the torch it would be so bright.
Chum please never go out of sight.

IV.
Sorry pal if I do not trust
That leaves you execrably fussed.
Thinking our rapport is robust,
Yes, I’m on the verge to adjust.
I have to let go of distrust
And keep my word, it is a must.

V.
You are there when I’m feeling blue.
Sometimes I do not have a clue,
How this became special, it’s true.
Close friends I’ve only known a few.
Thank God that He brought me and you
To a bond we both never knew.
